Welcome to Swan Lace in 2009! -

A New Beginning – - – - – Now Celebrating 32 Years in Business!  Thanks to all you who have made this record possible! -    This year brings a new look to my web page presence.  Over the next few weeks you are invited to revisit my new site while I select the new look of my site (It will change from time to time) and I will be uploading my collection of photos.

One of the new features will be a page showing off the photos of  delighted Swan Lace customers in their new outfits all gathered into an impressive collection of images.  I extend an open invitation to any of you who don’t see your photo to click on the Contact Us button and attach a photo to an email to me so your photo can join those that I have collected.

With this new beginning I have decided to change my approach to my web site and present a virtual visit to my Renaissance shops by showing all the possible combinations of my garments with photos of the display outfits as I have presented them up on the walls of my shops during the last few years.

In this first phase I will be separating the photos by colors and colors combinations so you can shop by looking for your favorites.  My plan is to post the complete outfit price with my famous outfit discounts clearly stated as well as a fill in sizing form so I can help you get the perfect size.

Since I am including photos from the last few years there will be mixed in amongst the photos some colors and/or lace fabrics that are now discontinued.  I am continuously searching for new exciting lace fabrics to keep adding new unique combinations.  I recommend that you look around and  find you second choice so if I am unable to fill your first request then I will get in touch and we can discuss our options.

This is an industrious venture and I will attend to each email inquiry to answer all questions between Tuesday through Thursday while I am working my booth 108 at Colorado Renaissance Festival which opens on June 13th and runs through August 2nd.

My web Page History: My web page was created back in 1996 by Andy Levad and Lisa Boyer of Denver, Colorado.  They were both working in my Colorado Renaissance Festival Shop and ganged up on me to deliver prices to post for a Catalog style of shopping cart showing all the separate garments available in all the beautiful colors.  This web site served me well for many years and then in 2007 my site was swooped up in a bit of a mess during a management change at Ohio Renaissance Festival  and all of a sudden reports were getting back to me that there was a virus within my site.  This was investigated and found to be false alarm which was caused by the new operating system Vista’s security settings.  My web site had been built using “frames” which  blocked the automatic security check within all the new computers with Vista..  I did not experience any alert with Norton Anti Virus while using XP Operating system and new web designer investigated with her Macintosh and found nothing lurking anywhere within my site.

Then in 2008 out of the blue my Index Page was deleted and so my site disappeared from view.  My web mistress pulled an emergency late night work session and rebuilt the Index Page to save the day.  Then just months later it happened again and this time it was decided to post a greeting, an apology and a promise of a new site to come.
